The pause where things become clear…
You are not a diagnosis, a presenting problem, or a file.
You are a human being
in the middle of your story …
still being written
About Ellipsis Counselling Clinic…
An ellipsis is the three dots that appear when something is still being written…
In typography, it signals there is more to come.
In conversation, it is the breath before the truth.
In therapy, it is the space where the most important things live.
…
The practice is named Ellipsis because we believe that coming to therapy is an opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and find clarity in the middle of everything life is asking of you.
Ellipsis Counselling is built on the belief that the examined life, no matter how messy, unfinished, and fully human, is truly worth living. This is a space where your story is held with care, curiosity, and without judgment.
You’re in the right place if...
Maybe you wake up at 3 am with your mind racing and no idea how to make it stop. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same argument, and you're both exhausted. Maybe something happened that you've never quite been able to put down. Maybe life just feels heavier than it used to, and you can't pinpoint why.
Most people who find their way here are not in crisis. They are not falling apart. They are just carrying something, quietly, for a long time, and they have reached the point where they are tired of carrying it alone.
They are functioning. They are showing up. They are doing all the things they are supposed to do. And underneath all of it, something is not quite right.
If that sounds familiar, you are in the right place. You don't have to be in crisis to seek out support. You just have to be human.

Ellipsis Counselling is a virtual psychotherapy practice based in Ontario, founded on the belief that every person deserves a space to be fully human: messy, complex, and whole.
We believe that who we are is shaped by our inner worlds, but also by the systems, communities, and structures we live within. Our practice is rooted in anti-oppressive and anti-racist values, and we are committed to creating a space where every client feels safe, seen, and affirmed.

There is no one-size-fits-all in therapy. You are a whole person with a unique history, nervous system, and set of experiences. Your care should reflect that.
We draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gottman Method, attachment theory, somatic approaches, and Narrative Therapy. What that means in practice is simple: we meet you where you are, and we figure out the rest together.
Therapy here is collaborative, relational, and rooted in deep respect for your pace and your process. You will never be pushed faster than you are ready to go.

My Story: Meet Lindsay…
I came to this work because I lived it first. I am a fellow human, and forever a work in progress.
I know what it feels like to push the hard things away. Staying on the surface, performing okay while something underneath stays quietly unexamined. And I know what happens when that changes. When you find a space where you are fully accepted, when you begin to treat your emotions as signals rather than threats, when you allow yourself to go to the places you have been avoiding. It changes everything. Your relationship with yourself. The way you love others. The way you inhabit your own life.
I had that experience. And I turned back to offer it to others.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Bioethics and Psychology from the University of Toronto. I work with individuals, couples, and groups using attachment-based, somatic, parts work, and existential approaches. I am a 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming therapist committed to an anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice.
I am glad you found your way here ...
